Vol. 100 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Food Parcels.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in view of the present acute food shortage in Great Britain, he is prepared to allow Irish families to send small parcels of food from time to time to members of the family working in Great Britain; and, if so, if he will state the limits, as to the items, quantities and frequency of despatch within which such facilities will be afforded.

I would refer the Deputy to replies which I gave to questions asked by Deputy Keyes on the 17th October and 28th November last. I regret that the supply position does not warrant any alteration in the existing practice.
