Vol. 101 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Civil Service Superannuation Scheme.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether the actuarial examination of the Civil Service superannuation code has been resumed; and, if so, when it is expected that the examination will be completed.

Arrangements are now being made to proceed with the actuarial examination of the Civil Service superannuation code. As regards the second part of the Deputy's question, it will be appreciated that the investigation will be of a very complex character and it is not possible therefore to give any indication as to when it may be completed.

Will the Minister say when the actuarial examination will commence?

Arrangements have been made to start it.

Will there be a long hiatus between the arrangement and the examination?

No, it will be started as soon as possible.
