Written Answers. - Old Age and Blind Pensioners.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total number of persons to whom (a) old age pensions, and (b) blind persons' pensions were paid during the last year for which the information is available, and the total sum paid in each case.

Particulars of the number of persons to whom (a) old age pensions, and (b) blind pensions were paid during the year ended 31st March, 1946, and the amounts paid out in each case are as follows:—

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of the last period for which the information is available (a) the number of persons to whom old age pensions were paid at each rate of pension, and (b) the number of persons to whom blind persons' pensions were paid at each rate of pension.

Particulars of pensions paid at each rate to old age pensioners and blind persons respectively as on the last Friday in December, 1945, are as follows:—
