Vol. 101 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Tipperary Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he will arrange for the Land Commission to acquire, for division among the uneconomic holders, landless men and cottiers of the districts concerned, the portions of the Charters estate at Garnaville and Ballydrehid, inspected some years ago, and the Rochford estate, Cahir Abbey, which the owner had agreed, before the emergency, to make available for division.

Mr. Boland

There are no proceedings pending for the acquisition of portions of the Charters estate at Garnville and Ballydrehid or the Rochford estate at Cahir Abbey. In present circumstances it is not practicable for the Land Commission to take action in these cases.
