Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages on Rural Employment Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the increased wages now payable to the agricultural workers, he is prepared to increase the rates of pay of workers engaged on works under the rural improvement schemes in proportion to the increase granted to agricultural workers.

The rates were increased as from the 24th June, 1946, the date on which the revised minimum agricultral rates came into force.
