Vol. 102 No. 3

Written Answers. - Mayo Man's Claim.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that Martin Reynolds, Kilrush, Hollymount, County Mayo (Bones estate), was evicted some weeks ago, and if he will consider the application of this man for a holding of land if and when land becomes available in the locality.

I understand that a decree for possession of a holding at Kilrush, Hollymount (following a court order directing sale of the holding by public auction), has been granted in the courts against Martin Reynolds. The Land Commission were not a party to these legal proceedings.

Any application for an allotment will, of course, be considered by the Land Commission should they be dividing land in the neighbourhood of the applicant.
