Vol. 102 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fencing on Land Commission Allotments.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state on whom rests responsibility for the maintenance of fences erected by the Land Commission to bound rights of way through holdings allotted by them.

Such fences are provided by the Land Commission for convenience both of the adjoining farmers and the right of way users. The Land Commission cannot undertake the upkeep of the fences and the persons benefiting by them should arrange for their maintenance.
