Vol. 102 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Hackney Owners' Petrol Allowance.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why a petrol allowance, at the hackney rate, has not been granted to Mr. Timothy Cullen, Ballinrobe Road, Aughagower, Westport; and if he will also state whether or not Mr. Cullen, as an ex-Army man, was qualified to receive such an allowance.

As there is no evidence to show that Mr. Timothy Cullen, Ballinrobe Road, Aughagower, Westport, owned and operated a hackney vehicle on the 1st January, 1941, or that he served at any time in the Regular Defence Forces, he is ineligible for the grant of a petrol allowance at the hackney rate.
