Vol. 103 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Landlord and Tenant Act.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he will now state when it is proposed to introduce proposals for legislation to amend the Landlord and Tenant Act; and if it is intended that such proposals should be passed into law before the end of the present session.

Proposals for legislation to amend the Landlord and Tenant Acts, 1931 and 1943, are at present under active consideration. I am not yet in a position, however, to state definitely when the necessary Bill will be ready for introduction.

Will the Minister say whether the legislation will be introduced during the present session?

Mr. Boland

I hardly think it will. It is possible that it may, but I am not able to say definitely that it will. I will do my best, but I am not certain about it.
