asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the recurrent inundation of shops and dwelling-houses at Mallow, Fermoy and Kila- vullen; and if so, if he will arrange for a survey of the River Blackwater with a view to the carrying out of certain works, e.g., the clearing of shoals and the removal of small islands, directed towards reducing the flood levels at the points mentioned.
