Vol. 103 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arterial Drainage in County Kerry.

asked the Minister for Finance when he proposes to apply the Arterial Drainage Scheme to the basins of the Brick and Cashin Rivers in the North Kerry area; also, if he is aware that failure to drain these two rivers has led to the flooding of the tributaries, viz., the Feale, the Gale and several other smaller rivers, and has caused serious losses to tenants in the affected areas.

A survey of the Feale catchment area for the purpose of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, has recently been completed and the survey is now being plotted preparatory to the designing of a scheme for the area.
