Vol. 103 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mullingar-Ballymahon Mail-Car Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is intended to restore the evening mail-car service from Mullingar to Ballymahon, County Longford, as the fact that there is only one collection of letters daily, in the morning time, is a cause of considerable hardship to the people of the latter town.

As a result of recent improvements in train services, the restoration of the afternoon mail-car service from Mullingar to Ballymahon, Castlepollard, Delvin, Kilbeggan and Killucan is now warranted and arrangements have been made to restore it forthwith.
