I wish to ask the Minister for Industry and Commerce the following question of which I have given the Ceann Comhairle and the Minister previous notice: To ask the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will make a statement on the position arising from the stoppage of work at the beet factories with special reference to its bearings on (a) the incomes of farmers who grow beet; (b) the future of the sugar-beet industry and subsidiary industries, and (c) on the community generally.
