Vol. 103 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Maine Embankments.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have yet come to a decision as to the assistance they propose to give towards the repair of the River Maine embankments, in the townlands of Callinafercy East and West, County Kerry.

Since the Deputy's previous question last July, these embankments have been examined by the Land Commission, but several matters arising therefrom remain to be considered, for example, the position as to other embankments on the River Maine estuary and the possibility of action by the Office of Public Works under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945.

The Land Commission will press on with their inquiries and consideration of this matter as quickly as possible.
