Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Kildare Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands of Mr. J. Gilligan, Thomastown, Johnstownbridge, County Kildare, for division among local uneconomic holders and landless men.

The Land Commission have no proceedings in hands for the acquisition of the lands of Mr. J. Gilligan at Thomastown, County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire, for division, the lands of Mr. J. Walsh, Martinstown, Johnstownbridge, County Kildare.

There are no proceedings pending for the acquisition of the lands of Mr. J. Walsh at Martinstown, County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the acquisition of the Metcalfe Estate at Johnstownbridge, County Kildare, for division; and if so, what action it is proposed to take in the matter.

As intimated to the Deputy in reply to his question on 25th November, 1942, this case came under notice some years ago but general conditions made further consideration of the matter inopportune. There are no proceedings pending at present for the acquisition of the lands.
