Vol. 104 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arklow Telephone Service.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that the night telephone service in the town of Arklow is unsatisfactory, having regard to the fact that the service is suspended between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.; and if he will consider having an all-night service made available.

The general question of affording continuous service at a number of the larger exchanges, including Arklow, where the hours of service are restricted, has been under consideration for some time. It is hoped to reach a decision in the matter shortly.
