Vol. 106 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Disposal of Rations.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate the manner of disposal of weekly rations of tea, butter, sugar, flour and other commodities which are not collected during the current ration week, by the consumers, for reasons beyond their control, e.g., illness.

Where current rations are not taken up by a registered customer they are added to the trader's stocks. Stocks of rationed commodities are subject to periodical check by my Department and if found surplus to requirements the necessary adjustments are made in the trader's supplies.
