Vol. 106 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Replacement of Monuments.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when it is proposed to replace the monuments to General Michael Collins, Arthur Griffith and Kevin O'Higgins in Leinster Lawn.

Is that the only information that can be vouchsafed after the lapse of so many years? Could the Parliamentary Secretary not give any details as to what "active consideration" means?

The Deputy should ask some of his colleagues.

I suggest that the Deputy should take the matter up with the Chief Whip of his Party.

Why should I take it up with the Chief Whip of my Party when I am entitled as a Deputy to ask the Minister for the information required?

The Chief Whip and other members of his Party are aware of any steps that have been taken.

I am not aware of them, and I am entitled as a Deputy to put the question in this House.
