Vol. 108 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fertiliser Credit Dockets.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that a number of wheat producers have mislaid or lost their Fertiliser Credits (Wheat) Scheme dockets, issued for wheat of the 1943 harvest, and are now unable to apply to his Department for credit vouchers; and if, in order to permit those people to benefit from the scheme, he will have the matter examined, with a view to having deliveries certified by wheat merchants and substitute dockets issued.

I am aware that a number of wheat growers have informed my Department that they have mislaid or lost fertiliser credit dockets in respect of wheat of the 1943 crop. The growers concerned have been requested to furnish the names and addresses of the purchasers of their wheat and the quantities involved, and credit vouchers are being issued in all cases in which the particulars so furnished are found to be in accordance with official records.

Does the Minister propose to advertise this decision?

I could not select a more suitable source of advertising than this House.
