Vol. 108 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Seed Potatoes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what prices have been arranged for seed potatoes for export.

Negotiations have been proceeding regarding the export price of seed potatoes of the 1947 crop, but have not yet been concluded.

Would the Minister bear in mind the great hardship and loss that resulted last year from the long delay in getting these prices fixed, and press on with the matter with all possible energy, in order to avoid that loss this year?

I am anxious to have this matter fixed up as quickly as possible, but I am also anxious to get a fair price.
