Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Butter in Cold Store.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give the aggregate quantities of creamery and factory butter at present in cold store, and the comparable quantities for the corresponding periods in 1945 and 1946.

The quantities of creamery butter in cold storage, including cold stores at creameries on 30th September, 1945, 1946 and 1947, were 201,672 cwt., 168,474 cwt., and 176,803 cwt., respectively. The quantities of non-creamery butter in public cold store on the above-mentioned dates were 15,866 cwt., 11,252 cwt., and 22,260 cwt., respectively.
