Vol. 108 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Creamery Facilities.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that the farmers of Kilworth, County Cork, are suffering hardship and that the production of milk in the neighbourhood is restricted through the absence of a branch creamery in Kilworth; that the erection of this creamery is being held up because of the delay in providing a site in Moore Park; and if he will state the causes of the delay, on the part of his Department, in sanctioning the granting of the site.

An application for a site for a branch creamery at Moore Park has been received. The allocation of a site which would suit the creamery interests raises problems affecting the future use or disposal of the remainder of the property, and this and other consequential matters are at present under consideration.
