Vol. 109 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meath Bog Road.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the construction of the proposed bog road at Seehan, Coolronan, Ballivor, County Meath, will not meet with the approval of the persons who will use this road as it will result in an annual expenditure of at least £2 per tenant for the removal of their turf; that the construction of the road along the line of the old pass-way would be more convenient for them; and if he will take such steps as may be open to him to meet their wishes in this matter.

I have been informed that representatives of the county council will discuss the siting of the road with representatives of the tenants at the bog on the 12th of this month. In the meantime work on the present site has been suspended.
