Vol. 110 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Banteer-Newmarket Railway Services.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that serious loss and inconvenience have been inflicted on the people of North Cork owing to the stoppage of the railway services on the Banteer-Newmarket line; and if so, whether he will have this service restored without undue delay.

The train services on the Banteer-Newmarket line were discontinued because of the fuel crisis which occurred in the early part of 1947. I propose to look into the question of the suspended branch line services at an early date and to discuss it with Córas Iompair Éireann.
