Vol. 110 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Cork Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it is proposed to acquire Moore Park for the purpose of division among the landless people and uneconomic landholders in the surrounding district.

The Moore Park estate, Co. Cork, contains 825 acres. The lands, being State lands, cannot be sold to the Land Commission pending the passing of enabling legislation. The introduction of the necessary legislation is not a matter for my Department.
