Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ministers', Deputies' and Senators' Allowances.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he proposes to introduce legislation to reduce the salaries of Ministers and the allowances payable to Dáil Deputies and Senators to the amounts obtaining before the recent increases were made and if it is his intention to remove the special income-tax exemption applicable to these salaries and allowances.

It is not proposed to introduce the legislation or to remove the exemption referred to in the Deputy's question.
