Vol. 110 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Irish Wool.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will authorise the payment of higher prices to farmers for Irish wool in view of the existing substantial difference between the retail price and the price per lb. allowed to the producers.

The price of raw wool is not officially controlled and, consequently, the price which is realised by the producer for native wool is governed by the world market price.
