Vol. 110 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Extension of Bus Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will arrange to extend the Leas Cross bus service to Naul via Ballyboughal each morning and evening to accommodate persons who work or go to school in the City of Dublin on weekdays.

The bus which leaves Leas Cross at 8.15 a.m. and arrives in the city at 8.47 a.m. must first do a journey from Dublin at 7.40 a.m., bringing workers out to the Leas Cross area. To extend this service to Naul, and to provide that the bus would arrive back in the city at the same time as at present, would necessitate starting from the city at approximately 6.40 a.m. with consequent serious inconvenience to the workers concerned.
