Vol. 110 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Provision of Fishing Boat.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state when Mr. Alick Rickard, Howth, will receive the fishing boat for which he has applied to the Sea Fisheries Association.

I understand that a large number of persons, including Mr. Alick Rickard, have for some time past been listed by the Sea Fisheries Association as applicants for fishing boats; but, owing to the difficulty experienced in obtaining marine motor engines, comparatively few applicants have had their needs met in recent years. I am satisfied that the directors of the association are doing their utmost to improve matters, but it is just not possible yet to forecast a date by which Mr. Rickard's case will be reached.
