Vol. 110 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether it is proposed to take over the Ryan estate, Holywell, County Roscommon, for the relief of local congestion; and, if so, when.

The Deputy's question appears to refer to the lands of Coolteige, owned by Mr. George Clarke, of Hollywell, County Roscommon, and formerly the property of James Ryan, deceased. The Land Commission have under consideration the question of instituting proceedings for the acquisition of these lands.

Can the Minister say now if the proceedings for the acquisition of these lands will be definitely concluded this year?

I cannot say definitely if they will be concluded this year, but I do not see any reason why they should not. The Deputy can take it that they will.
