Vol. 111 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postal Deliveries in County Cork.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware (a) that in the district of Watergrass-hill, County Cork, there are postal deliveries on three days only in the week; (b) that in portion of the Glenville area, in the same parish as Water-grasshill, there are postal deliveries on two days only in the week; and, if so, whether he will take steps to provide daily deliveries in these areas.

I am aware that in certain townlands in the Watergrass-hill district postal delivery is made on three days only in the week. I am having the postal arrangements examined in all areas which are similarly circumstanced, with a view to seeing what improvements can be made but some time is likely to elapse before the necessary survey can be completed.

There are no townlands in the Glenville district which get a delivery less frequently than four times a week.
