Vol. 111 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - North Meath Limestone.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether the limestone in North Meath has been examined with a view to producing crushed limestone; and, if so, with what results.

The limestones in the North Meath area were surveyed and classified in 1874, but the stones were not examined as to their suitability or otherwise for producing crushed limestone. No survey or examination has since been made by the Geological Survey.
