Vol. 111 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of Yellow River.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that serious flooding exists because of the condition of the Yellow River, County Mayo; and, if so, whether he will state when it will be possible to make a survey of this river with a view to having it cleaned.

The Yellow River will be surveyed in connection with the formulation of a comprehensive drainage scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, for the Moy catchment area.

I cannot say when it will be reached in the arterial drainage programme.
