Vol. 111 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Carndonagh Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the reasons for the delay in carrying out the necessary alterations and repairs to the Carndonagh District Hospital, County Donegal; and whether, in view of the fact that portion of this hospital is used as a sanatorium, he will take steps to expedite the proposed work.

I have decided that the building of a new district hospital at Carndonagh to replace the existing hospital should be one of the hospital works to proceed for early completion. In the circumstances any large expenditure on alterations to the existing hospital would not be justified.
