Vol. 111 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers - Erection of Offaly Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is in a position to state when the proposal for the erection of a number of cottages at Clonbullogue, Offaly, will be carried out and what stage has now been reached in relation to this proposal.

Mr. Murphy

A site at Clonbullogue to accommodate 12 cottages is included in the Offaly County Health District Labourers Order, 1947, which is at present before the Department for confirmation. It is expected that a decision on the county council's proposals for the compulsory acquisition of sites will be conveyed to the council in the very near future. I am not yet in a position to state precisely when the scheme for the erection of a number of cottages at Clonbullogue, Offaly, will be carried out.
