Vol. 111 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Holles Street Shooting.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state what Order was made by his predecessor limiting the scope of the inquest on John Griffiths, a young man who was shot dead by armed Gardaí outside Holles Street Hospital on the 4th July, 1943.

No Order was made limiting the scope of the inquest on John Griffiths.

Mr. Boland

I would like to ask if Deputy Con Lehane and the Minister for External Affairs are regretting they did not get an opportunity of shamelessly exploiting this man, as they did in another instance. Is that the intention in putting down the question?

That is not the question addressed to the Minister.
