The average price per lb. of beef supplied under existing contracts is 1/5¼d. The latest costing available for beef supplied from the Army abattoirs at Dublin and the Curragh is 1/10.73d. for the month of May, 1948. Small quantities of mutton are supplied under contract to Army hospitals, the present average price being 2/3.6d. per lb.
