No representations have hitherto been made to me that the public slaughterhouse at Balbriggan constitutes a nuisance. The slaughterhouse is new, having been provided in 1945 on a site that is completely walled off. It was considered at the time that it could be carried on without offence or discomfort to the nearby residents if properly adapted for use and efficiently supervised.
