Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exports of Cattle.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of fat cattle exported to Great Britain for the two weeks previous to the publication of the recent agreement on fat cattle prices, and the number exported for the two weeks ending 31st July, 1948.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of store cattle exported to Great Britain for the four weeks ending on Saturday, 31st July, 1948.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 26 and 27 together. Particulars of the numbers of store and fat cattle exported directly by sea to Great Britain during each week in July in so far as they are available, are as follows:—

The foregoing statistics do not include exports to Great Britain through the six north-eastern counties, since these statistics are compiled only on a monthly basis.
