Vol. 113 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Maximum Weight of Postal Parcels.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether, in view of the large number of people who are anxious to send turkeys to their relatives in England, he will consider waiving or increasing the present maximum limit of 11 lbs. weight for parcels sent through the post, since it is very difficult to secure suitable turkeys under that weight.

I have given this matter careful consideration, but I regret that it would not be practicable immediately to alter the present parcel post weight limit of 11 lbs.
