Vol. 113 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Bog Road.

Mr. Flynn

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that the tenants on the J.H. Cronin estate, Farrankeal-Beenateevaun, County Kerry, are seriously handicapped owing to the fact that the roadway leading through the turbary plots on the estate was left uncompleted by the Land Commission in 1933; and if, in view of the urgency of the matter, he will take action to have the road completed at the earliest possible date.

The question has been transferred to me, for the reason that the Special Employment Schemes Office have been investigating the case in response to an application received some time ago from the landholders concerned for a grant under the rural improvements scheme. I am glad to be able to inform the Deputy that an offer of a grant under the scheme has already been issued to the applicants.
