Vol. 113 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Tinned Meat Exports.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the price paid for tinned meat exported from here (i) by continental buyers and (ii) under the recent Trade Agreement with Great Britain.

I am not in a position to divulge details of the prices received for exports of canned meat to continental countries, but I can say that such prices are much higher than the price payable by the British Ministry of Food, which is 1/3½d. per 1 lb. can, ex quay Great Britain.
