Vol. 113 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Caherciveen Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that at a housing meeting held in Caherciveen on Wednesday, 8th December, 1948, the county manager stated that he had now prepared a compulsory acquisition Order for the acquisition of housing sites at Caherciveen; and if, in view of the urgency of the housing requirements in Caherciveen, he will take immediate steps to sanction the carrying through of this acquisition Order.

Mr. Murphy

I understand that an Order for the compulsory acquisition of housing sites at Caherciveen has been made and that it will be submitted to the Department within the next 14 days. I can assure the Deputy that no delay will occur in the examination of the proposals when they are received.
