Vol. 113 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of County Kerry Road.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether it is proposed to make a grant available for the purpose of steam-rolling the three miles of road from Corridan's Cross, Kilgarvan, Ballylongford, County Kerry, to Lisselton Cross, which is part of the Limerick-Ballybunion route and which is in a bad state of repair.

Mr. Murphy

The initiation of proposals for the carrying out of road work is a matter in the first instance for the local authority. I understand that the Kerry County Council is considering a proposal for the improvement of the road mentioned by the Deputy. If and when proposals to this effect are submitted by the local authority the question of making a grant towards the cost will be considered.
