Offers totalling 750 acres in the townlands in question have been received and contain a large proportion of land suitable for afforestation. I have had the areas inspected and valued and I hope to issue offers for purchase at an early date.
Some of the lands present a difficulty as the owners are not anxious to sell for cash but want other land by way of exchange.
