Vol. 114 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Creamery Milk.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he now has evidence that since the price for creamery milk was fixed in 1947 there have been substantial increases in the wages paid to agricultural workers and to creamery workers and that the manufacturing costs of creamery milk have also increased in the same period; and, if so, whether he will state what steps, if any, he intends to take, by way of increasing the price of creamery milk, in order to help dairy farmers to offset the burdens recently placed on milk production.
