Vol. 114 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Pier.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that representations have been made recently for the improvement of the Kilkeavaragh Pier, near Portmagee, County Kerry, to enable farmers in the surrounding area to land, with safety, the boatloads of sand and seaweed they require for the better manuring of their lands; and, if so, whether he intends to take early action as a result of these representations.

Inquiries are being made to ascertain whether the extent of the agricultural and fishery interests of the area concerned would justify the expenditure which would be involved in carrying out the necessary repairs to the pier.
