Vol. 114 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kells Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in erecting new houses in the Urban District of Kells, County Meath.

A compulsory purchase order for the acquisition of approximately six acres of land by the Ceanannus Mór Urban District Council for housing purposes came into operation on the 25th December, 1948, and I understand that plans for the erection of houses on the land acquired are being prepared, but have not yet been received in the Department. I can assure the Deputy that the examination of any proposals submitted for my approval will be expedited.
