asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will indicate the number of old age pensions at each pension rate paid on 9th January, 1948, and on 7th January, 1949.

The information which the Deputy seeks is not available for the dates indicated. The nearest dates for which such information is available are the last Fridays of December, 1947; December, 1948, and February, 1949. I propose, with your permission, a Chinn Chomhairle, to circulate the tables with the Official Report.
