Vol. 115 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - International Labour Organisation Convention.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if a communication has been received from the governing body of the International Labour Organisation concerning the ratification of the International Labour Organisation Convention on Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise, adopted at the 31st Session of the International Labour Conference; whether the Government has yet taken any decision on the ratification of this convention; and, if such communication has been received, whether any reply has been sent conveying the Government's decision, and if the correspondence will be laid on the Table of the Dáil.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The Government has not yet taken a decision on the ratification of the convention referred to, and the other parts of the question do not, therefore, appear to arise.
